The registration for the Bihar Post Matric Scholarship 2024-25 is officially open at pmsonline.bihar.gov.in for all
eligible students! This scholarship program aims to support students from SC, ST, BC, and EBC backgrounds by helping them manage
their educational costs,
including tuition fees, hostel expenses, and books.

Scholarship Details
All interested students are
notified that from August 25, 2025, to September 25, 2025, online applications
will be accepted for academic aid and scholarships for the academic year
2024–2025. Students who meet the requirements should apply via the PMS portal
by the deadline.
By covering their educational
expenses for post-secondary courses, the "Post-Matric Scholarship
Scheme-Bihar" seeks to assist students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Only members of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Extremely Backward Classes
(EBC) are eligible for this scholarship. By doing this, the program helps
families in these communities by reducing financial burdens and providing
access to higher education.

Eligibility Criteria
→ The applicant should be a
permanent resident of Bihar state.
→ The caste of the applicant
should be included in the list of Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class
issued by the state government.
→ The applicant should be
studying in higher classes after passing the Matriculation/Entry Examination.
→ The family’s annual income
must not exceed the below-mentioned limit:
→ Extremely
Backward Classes (EBC): ₹2,50,000/-.
→ Other
Backward Classes (OBC): ₹3,00,000/-.
→ The
scholarship will be awarded to only two (2) sons of the applicant's parents.
This rule will not apply to daughters.

Student's
Documents:
→ Recent Passport Size
Photograph (with white background recommended).
→ Student's Signature (on
white paper with a black/blue pen).
→ Aadhaar Card (linked
with mobile number).
→ Domicile Certificate of
Bihar (प्रमाणपत्र).
→ Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EBC)
issued by a competent authority in Bihar. (General category students need
an Income Certificate).
→ Income Certificate of
parents/guardian from competent authority (should be recent, usually for the
financial year).
→ Bank Account Passbook (First
page with Name, Account Number, IFSC Code). The account should be active and
preferably in a nationalized bank. The student's name must be on the
account.
→ Previous Year's Marksheet (e.g.,
Class 10 for Class 11 students, Class 12 for UG students, Graduation for PG
students).
→ Fee Receipt of
the current academic year (if available).
Institute-Related
Documents:
→ Bonafide Certificate or
College/School ID Card.
→ Registration/Admission
Letter from the institution.
Selection Process
The Selection Process for
MPS 2025 is:
Stage 1: Verification Process:
This is a two-step
verification process:
1. Institute
Verification (College/School):
- After you submit your application
online, your respective Institute Nodal Officer (usually
a teacher or admin staff) will log in to the portal with their
credentials.

They will verify your details, confirm your admission and fees, "Forward" the
application to the next level (Department).
2. Department
Verification:
- The concerned District
Welfare Officer or Departmental Nodal Officer will verify your
caste, income, and domicile certificates against government records.
- If all documents are genuine and
correct, they will "Approve" the application.
Stage 2: Tracking and
Disbursement:
- Track Application Status: You can log in to the portal anytime to check your
application status. It will show stages like "Submitted",
"Under Verification", "Approved", or
"Rejected" (with a reason).
All
students are requested to keep checking the status of their application through
their Aadhaar number and date of birth, if your record is not available then

- Scholarship Disbursement: Once approved by all authorities, the scholarship
amount (tuition fees, maintenance allowance, etc.) will be directly
transferred to the bank account you provided in the application. Keep
checking your bank account.
Application Process
Stage 1: Pre-Application
Preparation (Most Important)
Collect all these documents before you begin the online
application. These documents need to be scanned and uploaded in the correct
format (usually JPEG, PNG, or PDF under a specific file size limit).
Stage 2: Online Application on
the Bihar Scholarship Portal
1. Visit the Official Portal: Go
to the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme & Scholarship Portal: https://pmsonline.bihar.gov.in/bcebcpms2425/pms/pms_online/Default.aspx
2. Create
your account or login to your account
3. After login to your account fill all the
mandatory fields carefully.
4. Upload Scanned Documents
5. Final Submission:
- Review the entire application form
thoroughly. Once submitted, edits are usually not allowed.
- Click on the "Submit"
button.
- After submission, download or take a
printout of the final application form for your future reference. This is
your acknowledgement copy.

Important
Instructions for Student and Institution
All the concerned students are
informed that online applications for scholarship/academic assistance for the
academic session 2024-25 are being invited from 25.08.2025 to 25.09.2025.
Interested and eligible
students should apply through PMS portal within the prescribed date.
Note: At present, PMS portal
has been opened for students studying in all types of eligible courses.
1. All students are requested
to regularly check the status of their application through SMS, Email and PMS
Portal and make necessary amendments if required.
2. The amount of Post Matric
Scholarship Scheme will be given only after successful verification of the
Caste, Income and Residence Certificate uploaded by you.
3. All students, if you fail
to provide any documents or the documents provided by you are found incorrect,
then log in again and update the correct document number and documents.
4. All students are requested
to regularly check the status of their application through their Aadhaar number
and date of birth. If your record is not available, please apply again.
5. All students are requested
to get their Aadhaar number seeded with their bank account for DBT and ensure
that the correct account has been seeded with Aadhaar by the bank, otherwise
scholarship amount will not be received.
6. Student needs to submit the
hard copy of the application to the institute.
7. Check the status of bank
account seeding with Aadhaar from UIDAI site
